Stop normalizing the "sneeze-pee". Finding out pelvic floor issues aren't a lifetime sentence is a game changer for active moms. Let’s get you strong.
If you’ve ever crossed your legs before a sneeze, turned down a trip to the trampoline park, or laughed until you leaked—and then just shrugged it off as "part of being a mom"—we need to have a real talk.
(Finally, haha).

As a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES), I see this "mom bladder" narrative everywhere. We’ve been conditioned to believe that once you have a baby, your body is just permanently "broken" or that you have to "bounce back" to an old version of yourself. But I’m here to tell you that while leaking is common, it is not normal. It’s a symptom of a coordination issue, not a lifetime sentence.
I’m currently chasing a goal of reading 85 books this year, and one thing I’ve learned is that accuracy matters. In the fitness world, we constantly mix up "common" with "normal."
Is it common to leak or feel pelvic pressure after a baby? Absolutely. But think of it like this: If I sprained my ankle during a half-marathon, I wouldn't just limp for the next ten years and call it my "new personality trait." I’d rehab it so I could get back to my masters swim team or coaching my daughters' soccer games. Your pelvic floor—that incredible hammock of muscles—just ran a 40-week marathon. It isn’t failing you; it just needs actual, professional early intervention to regain its core stability.
The standard advice most moms get is usually pretty terrible: "Just do your Kegels."
(Me, not so much).
If your muscles are already too tight (hypertonic), doing more Kegels is like taking a cramped muscle and squeezing it harder. It can actually make the leaking worse. True healing comes from 360 breathing and managing intra-abdominal pressure. It’s about teaching your diaphragm, core, and pelvic floor to stop messing around and actually work as a functional team.

I know what it’s like to finish that 6-week checkup, get "cleared," and still feel "wrecked" or afraid of making things worse. You want to be the mom who can keep up with scooters and tag without fear.
That is exactly why I created Fit Foundations.
I don't care about a "six-pack" or how you look in a bikini; I care about you being a grandma who can still lift things. We bridge the gap between clinical rehab and the active, chaotic life you actually lead. We focus on:
You don't have to just "deal with it" forever. Whether you're heading to Publix or gearing up for a downtown walking tour, you deserve to move with confidence.
